Description:
Zinc Pyrithione is an antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antifungal active used widely in anti-dandruff shampoos, scalp treatments, cleansers, and seborrheic dermatitis formulas. Derived from zinc, it helps control flaking, itching, redness, and microbial overgrowth on scalp and skin while remaining gentle and effective.

Solubility:
Soluble in water and alcohol; insoluble in volatile oils.

Usage Rate:
0.5% – 1%

Recommended pH Range:
5.0 – 7.0 (ideal for stability in rinse-off and leave-on formulas)
