Guar Gum, also known as Goma Guar, Gauran, and Gomme Gua is a natural polymer that is derived from the guar or cluster bean. It is a fine, odourless, and off-white powder that is soluble in water, making it ideal for application in the manufacture of products used in or with water, like shampoo and soaps. Guar Gum powder has various cosmetic applications and is used to make formulations stable or provide emulsification. It is also used to increase the thickness of products.

Loaded with both nutritional and medicinal properties, this non-toxic emulsifier binds to liquids and forms a thick material, therefore it is widely utilised in the manufacture of lipsticks, shampoos, face masks, and conditioners.
